Trust me, nobody's more surprised than I am that I'm the one starting this thread... Anyway, I spent much of today reordering my comic collection, moving my current DC comics around since I'll need space for the new stuff come September, and it finally came to me! Something good that could come out of this reboot(as well as the reason Jim Lee is probably happy about it)!
So what is it? The integration of WildStorm/Milestone characters into the mainstream DCU. Earlier this year/late last year, DC folded the WildStorm banner of comics. WildStorm Comics was founded(more or less) by Jim Lee and sprung from Image Comics(or was it the other way around?) back in the early 90's. Long story short, DC Comics wound up purchasing WildStorm(and Milestone Comics), and continued publishing WildStorm books separate of DC's editorial. Milestone was folded not that long after the purchase, while WildStorm managed to stick around as a DC subsidiary for a good decade before it too was shut down. All I really know about Milestone is that Static Shock came from there, so I can't speak much about them, but I am more well versed in the WildStorm properties. The WildStorm properties include, WildCATS(who had a cartoon in the 90's with a horrible, yet catchy theme song, Youtube it, you'll see!), Stormwatch, the Authority, Gen13, and characters such as Apollo, Midnighter and Grifter. With the DC reboot, Grifter and Voodoo are getting solo titles, while many of the Authority characters are going to be in a new Stormwatch book... Along with the Martian Manhunter for some reason... But yeah, there's one major pro from the reboot, bringing these characters into the mainstream DCU. Hey, you never know which character might become the next Wolverine or Deadpool. And with DC sticking with the $2.99 price tag for now, why not take a chance on a Grifter or Voodoo series?

Agreed! I think a lot of things DC really scrwed up on they knew they had to Reboot, like Roy's whole situation. Same with Green Arrow, since it seems like he and Dinah were never married from how distant they seem to keep them. Another thing is, I think they knew it was coming and people just got SUPER reckless, like the whole thing with Slade losing BOTH eyes. Come on now! Oh, speaking of Slade, here's an interview with Kyle Higgins discussing his new Slade series. www.newsarama.com/comics/dcnu-deathstroke-will-be-badass-again-110623.html(Sadly looks like no Ravager or Jericho.)

Oh, I agree completely about how reckless DC's writers have gotten lately. Since they know everything is going to be wiped clean in a few months, you honestly never know what's going to happen in any DC book right now(well except for that Bat titles I guess). If you ask me, that makes things more exciting. Maybe Superboy will get killed/maimed in either Teen Titans or his own series, which would result in Robo-Superboy. Or maybe Lois Lane gets killed by the Doomslayer, since they can simply bring her back in Sept. Could Donna have really been killed by Eclipso in the most recent JLA? They could seriously do anything they want right now... Here's hoping they kill Junkie Roy off...

And one of the biggest pros of all-time in my opinion was revealed in a Judd Winick interview podcast.
"TG: I just want to go on record and say I don’t like the red hair/dying his hair thing. I remember Jason Todd stealing the Batmobile’s hubcaps or tires, he had black hair, he wasn’t dying his hair and the whole thing with Batman dying his hair — I don’t like it.
JW: Grant was doing this thing where he wanted to make all the continuity work and that was one of the facets of it. Come September, black hair again. So, don’t worry. I’ve gone out there, it’s black hair again. There’s a spoiler. "
Booyah! I figured since you can't have red head Jason and Roy in the same comic without causing people's heads to explode...

Here's some news on Huntress! "DC has also exclusively revealed the Levitz-written, Marcus To and John Dell-drawn The Huntress five-issue series that also debuts in Month 2 of the DCnU. The cover to issue #1 (to the left) is by Guillem March. Paul Levitz has something of a history with the character, as he's credited with Joe Staton and Bob Layton for co-creating (in 1977) the Helena Wayne version of the Gotham City-based vigilante (daughter of the pre-Crisis Earth Two Batman and Catwoman). That version was killed during 1985's Crisis on Infinite Earths, her existence erased from the new post-Crisis unified timeline, and she was replaced with the similarly-looking Helena Bertinelli version, now the daughter of a Gotham crime boss. This 2011 revamp Huntress apparently has Italian roots, as DC reports she heads "home" to Italy to embark on a life-defining mission in this series, suggesting the DCnU version of the Huntress will likely remain Helena Bertinelli. It appears she will also continue to have ties with the Birds of Prey in the upcoming months. "

Hmm, I wonder which James Robinson we'll get here... Because if we get the Cry For Justice/Justice League of America one, I doubt I'll stick around for all 12 issues... My patience only goes so far!
