This issue was actually interesting only because of the last few pages. I mean we knew Nick Necro wasn't going to get the Books of Magic and kill everybody, but the stuff with Tim Hunter was intriguing... Is Tim going to turn out to be Rip Hunter?!? Because when he opened the books it looked way more like fancy tech than magic. Plus there's the whole question of whether the team lost their magic powers, but that'll work itself out down the road. The Tim/Rip connection is what's the most interesting to me... Score: 6 1/2 out of 10.
