While this was a good comic, I hate and can't accept the fact that Kitty Pryde is in the Prof. X/Magneto/Cyclops role. It's just plain wrong and is ruining what could have been an otherwise great story. Kitty-backers probably wouldn't have any problem with this issue at all, but the Kitty Pryde: Sentinel Slayer is getting to be a bit much for me... Besides that, I don't get why Captain America offering Kitty(and all of mutantkind) a cure to their mutations is a bad thing. They'd be normal! They wouldn't be harassed by bigots and Sentinels! Why is that a cardinal sin!? Wacky muties... Score: 7 out of 10.

This sort of reminds me of deaf culture and their hatred of cochlear implants. On the one hand it is a device that, with a lot of practice, is able to somewhat mimic hearing. On the other hand the device takes a lot of practice, and you have to forgo keeping up on other forms of communication like sign language to learn it. So, the cochlear implant is seen as somewhat of a community breaker in the deaf culture and there are those who are against themselves or others getting it.
Anyways, seems somewhat analogous to Kitty against a mutant cure.
Ultimate Kitty is kind of an odd one too. She was in Ultimate Spider-Man and her character went somewhat weird. So, I take her being leader with a grain of salt but find it more believable than 616 Kitty.

I take her being leader with a grain of salt but find it more believable than 616 Kitty. That's actually a good point. I can't say I like either versions, but the Ult version definitely trumps the 616 version. Although asking me which one I like more is like asking me if I'd rather be punched in the nose or the mouth... Neither one is all that appealing...
