Okay, first things first, I never liked Pip the Troll. So it goes without saying I didn't like, nor understand why Pip was in the series/on this team. So what does Peter David do? He dedicates this entire issue to Pip. And I end up LOVING it! I mean by the midway point of this comic, I was actually becoming a fan of Pip! So then what does PAD do? He has Pip shot in the head and probably killed at the end of this issue!!! I've said it before, but it bears repeating... Peter David is... The Man. There are VERY few writers who can get me to like a character I normally hated, and then kill that character, making me feel sad about it, in ONE issue! Seriously, if I put together an all-time favorite comic writers list, PAD would have to be in the top 5. Anyway, for a score I'll give this issue a 9 out of 10 and say I can't wait for the next issue.
