You've got the evil X-Men(Cyclops, Magneto and Emma Frost, who is magically not in jail now) running around recruiting new mutants. That angers the real X-Men, especially Iceman, Storm and Beast(who is apparently undergoing a THIRD mutation). After an offhanded comment by Iceman, Beast somehow gets into the past to confront the original 5 X-Men and tell them they needed to talk sense into modern day EVIL Cyclops before he caused a mutant Civil War. This was an interesting start for this series, although Bendis DID have his Bendis moments of excessive dialogue. As it is though, I'll give this issue a strong 7 1/2 out of 10 and say I'm looking forward to what The Bendis does next.

I am really liking this series. I took a short break from marvel after AvX because I thought they were going to go down with this renumbering/reboot thing like DC but I was wrong it's actually good, well now anyway.
BTW should I read Consquences? I know what's going on in the story and I honestly have no desire to check it out for whatever reason.

Personally I'd recommend Consequences, Astrovik. I loved that mini and I thought there was a ton of character development, and some excellently written scenes featuring Wolverine and Cyclops.
